Insect Hotel – Rovarszálloda

Provide a home to pollinators and pest controllers. Tidy gardens, lawns and lack of dead wood, mean less and less habitat for wild bees, spiders and ladybugs.

Nyújts otthont a beporzó és kártevőirtó rovaroknak! Csöpp kertek, a pázsitok és a halott fák hiánya egyre kevesebb élőhelyet biztosítanak a vadméheknek, pókoknak és katicabogaraknak.

Wildlife stack. Some creatures like it damp, others (like bees) dry. Ladybugs hibernate during winter in piles of dry twigs and leaves, which you can provide in your insect hotel. Vannak élőlények, amelyek a nedves, vannak amelyek a száraz helyeket kedvelik. A katicák télen hibernálnak száraz ág és levélkupacokban,  amelyeket te is biztosíthatod számukra rovarszállodákban. Ha hosszútávon szeretnél lakókat, akkor inkább tekintsd ezeket élőhelyeknek, lakásnak.

Bogár hotel Oakham-ben. (UK) Bár hotelnek nevezik, vannak méhek, amelyek akár kilenc hónapot is itt tölthetnek a pete állapotuktól kezdve a lárvaállapoton át, a felnőttkorukig.

Magányos méhek szeretik a napot. Az ideális hely egy rovarszállodádának egy olyan hely, ami napos, de védve van az időjárástól. Így biztosítva van a szükséges hő a fészekhez és az eső és szél nem teszi tönkre. Ha vannak virágok és rovarszálló – a magányos méhek jönni fognak.

Many solitary bees are very small and you may not have realised they are bees. More species of bees live alone, than in hives. Rovarhotel Észak-Hollandiában, Heimanshofban. Sok vadméh nagyon kicsi és nem biztos, hogy felismerjük őket, mint méheket. Több méhfaj él magányosan, mint kaptárakban. A vadméhek ugyanolyan fontosaknak tekinthetőek a táplálékláncban,  mint a poszméhek és a méhek. A méhek nem őshonosak Amerikai kontinensen.
